(hereinafter referred to as “Strato“).
Strato provides the services for hosting and displaying our website on our behalf. For this purpose, it provides the technically required infrastructure (storage space, computer capacities, various services, etc.). In doing so, it processes all data that arises in the context of hosting, such as communication data, inventory data, etc.
When you visit our website, Strato collects the data that your browser transmits to the site server (so-called “server log files”):

- Amount of data sent in bytes
- Source/reference from which you reached the page
- Browser used
- Operating system used

Further information, in particular on the purpose and duration of data storage, can be found in Strato‘s privacy policy: https://www.strato.de/datenschutz/.
The use of Strato is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring that our website is displayed as reliably as possible. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. The data will not be passed on or used in any other way unless we are legally obliged to do so. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract prescribed by data protection law, which ensures that the personal data of our website visitors is only processed in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Cookies
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on your end device. Cookies basically have various functions. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after the browser is closed (so-called “session cookies”), while others remain on your end device for longer and enable page settings to be saved (so-called “persistent cookies”). In the latter case, you can find the storage period in the table below or in the overview of your web browser’s cookie settings.
If personal data is also processed by individual cookies used by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR either for the execution of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in the case of consent given or in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the page visit.

Tools
WordPress
We use the WordPress content management system to create, edit, organize and display digital content on our website.
The tool sets technically necessary cookies (functional cookies) in connection with our website in order to ensure the proper functioning of the website. Personal user data is not stored in the process.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR, the protection of the legitimate interests of the operator of this website in proper functioning (for more information, see the Cookies section).
Cookie-Consent-Tool
This website uses a so-called “cookie consent tool” to obtain effective user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent. The “cookie consent tool” is displayed to users when they access a page in the form of an interactive user interface on which consent for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be granted by clicking a button. By using the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user grants the corresponding consent by clicking a button. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user’s end device if consent has been granted.
The tool sets technically necessary cookies (functional cookies) to save your cookie preferences. Personal user data is not processed in this context.
If personal data is processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is done in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.
Another legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. As the controller, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user consent.
Where necessary, we have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Polylang
We use the Polylang plugin from WP SYNTEX, 28, rue Sebastian Bach, 38090 Villefontaine, France, to make our website multilingual. Polylang cookies are used exclusively to store the language setting selected by the customer (for more information, see the Cookies section).
The cookies are only set with your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Links to websites of other providers
Our websites may contain links to websites of other providers that are not covered by this privacy policy. If the collection, processing or use of personal data is associated with the use of the websites of other providers, please refer to the data protection information of the respective providers.
We have no influence on the content of the websites of other providers and can therefore accept no liability for this third-party content. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognizable at the time of linking. If we become aware of any legal infringements, we will remove such links immediately.
Rights of the data subject
The applicable data protection law grants you the following data subject rights (information and intervention rights) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, whereby reference is made to the legal basis stated for the respective exercise requirements:
- Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR
- Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR
- Right to erasure in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction or deletion of this data at any time. You can contact us at any time with regard to this and other questions on the subject of personal data. - Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases
a) If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
b) If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
c) If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defense or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
d) If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
e) If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – apart from their storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State. - Right to information pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR
- Right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place if it is technically feasible. - Right to withdraw consent granted pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. - Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies. - Right to object to the collection of data in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 ABS. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR). IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Duration of storage of personal data
The duration of the storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and – if relevant – additionally by the respective statutory retention period (e.g. retention periods under commercial and tax law).
When processing personal data on the basis of express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (with consent), the data concerned will be stored until you withdraw your consent. If there are statutory retention periods for data that is processed within the scope of legal or similar obligations on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (required for contract fulfillment), this data will be routinely deleted after the retention periods have expired, provided that it is no longer required for contract fulfillment or contract initiation and/or we no longer have a legitimate interest in further storage. When processing personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests of the controller), this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. When processing personal data for the purpose of direct marketing on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR. Unless otherwise stated in the other information in this declaration on specific processing situations, stored personal data will be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
Data transfer to third parties
Your data will not be transferred to third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract, we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR or if another legal basis permits the transfer of data.
